Privacy Policy for Relax Sudoku

This Privacy Policy explains how Relax Sudoku ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Relax Sudoku mobile application (the "App"), published on app stores under the same or similar name as shown in your store listing. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • •We do not require a traditional account (no email sign-up or password in the App). The App may create an anonymous session with our backend provider (Supabase) so that optional cloud features (such as leaderboards and synced progress) can work.
  • •You may choose to set an optional display name (nickname) shown in leaderboards. That nickname is stored with your profile on our servers.
  • •Otherwise, we rely on third-party services that may collect certain technical and usage data, including:
  • •Device information (device model, OS version, app version)
  • •App interaction and event data (for analytics)
  • •Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data
  • •Approximate location inferred from IP address (by third-party providers)
  • •Crash and diagnostics data (if provided by platform or SDKs)
  • •If you use cloud features, our backend may also associate a device identifier and game-related profile fields (such as level, in-game currency balances, and streak information) with your anonymous user id.

2. Local Data Stored on Your Device

  • •The App stores gameplay-related data locally on your device, such as:
  • •Current game progress and saved puzzles
  • •Preferences (language, theme, audio, vibration, and similar settings)
  • •This data is used to provide app functionality (for example, resuming a game). Clearing app data or using the in-app deletion feature removes this local information as described below.

3. Cloud Data (Supabase)

  • •When online features are enabled, we use Supabase to host an anonymous authentication session and related data (for example: user_profile, game statistics tables, and achievements), as needed for leaderboards and progress features.
  • •Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between the App and Supabase.

4. Analytics

  • •We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the App and improve gameplay and stability.

  • •Game lifecycle events (for example: game started, won, lost by mode and difficulty)

  • •Deletion of data held by Google for advertising or analytics may require using Google’s controls or policies for those products, in addition to any in-app or backend deletion we provide for our own stored data.

5. Advertising

  • •We use Google AdMob to display ads in the App.
  • •AdMob may collect and process data such as:

6. Legal Bases and Consent (EEA/UK, where applicable)

  • •Depending on your region, data processing by third-party SDKs may rely on:
  • •Your consent (for personalized ads/analytics where required), or
  • •Legitimate interests (service improvement, security, fraud prevention)
  • •If consent is required in your jurisdiction, you should implement a consent mechanism (for example, Google UMP) before collecting consent-based data.

7. Data Sharing

  • •We do not sell your personal data.
  • •We may share data with service providers strictly for app operations, analytics, advertising, and cloud backend hosting, primarily:
  • •Supabase (anonymous account and gameplay-related tables)
  • •Google Firebase Analytics

  • •These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

8. Data Retention

  • •On your device: Local gameplay data remains until you uninstall the App, clear app storage in system settings, or use the App’s deletion feature described in section 9.
  • •On our backend (Relax Sudoku / Supabase): Data associated with your anonymous profile is retained until you ask us to delete it (where we can do so technically), use the applicable in-app deletion for the categories stated below, or until we otherwise remove it for operational or legal reasons. We do not commit to automatic deletion after a fixed number of days unless we state otherwise in a future update to this policy.
  • •Third-party SDKs: Data collected by Google and other SDKs is retained according to their respective retention policies.

9. How to request deletion of your data (Relax Sudoku)

  • •Relax Sudoku provides the following ways to delete or reduce data tied to your use of the App.
  • •9.1 Delete gameplay and leaderboard-related cloud statistics (in the App): Open the Relax Sudoku App. Go to Settings (gear / settings entry from the main screen flow). Find the section for deleting data (for example, the control that confirms removal of saved gameplay / progress data). Confirm the dialog.
  • •What this removes — On the device: Locally stored game saves and related gameplay data handled by this action (including daily challenge data stored locally where applicable), according to the current version of the App.
  • •What this removes — On our Supabase backend (for your signed-in anonymous user): Rows in our game statistics and achievements tables associated with your user id are deleted when you use this in-app deletion and the request succeeds.
  • •What may be kept after the above: Your anonymous authentication session with Supabase may remain so the App can continue to work; profile data such as optional display name, level, in-game currency, streak fields, and similar user_profile fields are not removed by this same in-app action unless we document a separate control in a future App version.
  • •What may be kept: Google Firebase Analytics and Google AdMob may retain data under Google’s policies; you may need to use device ad settings, Google account or product controls, or contact Google for deletion rights applicable to those services.
  • •9.2 Contact us for other deletion requests: If you want us to delete additional data we control (for example, profile or nickname data on our backend), contact us at the email below. We will take reasonable steps to verify the request and respond under applicable law. Some requests may require action by third-party providers.

10. Children's Privacy

  • •The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
  • •If you believe a child has provided personal information through third-party services used in the App, please contact us, and we will take reasonable steps to address the issue.

11. Your Rights

  • •Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • •Request deletion
  • •Restrict or object to processing
  • •Withdraw consent (where applicable)
  • •Because some data is processed by third-party providers, requests may need to be submitted directly to those providers for data they hold.

12. Security

  • •We take reasonable measures to protect the App and its data processing environment, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS) for communication between the App and our backend and major third-party SDKs. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

13. International Data Transfers

  • •Third-party providers may process data on servers located outside your country. By using the App, you acknowledge such transfers may occur in accordance with applicable laws.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

  • •We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
  • •When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
